Ring in the New Year with WV style!

Here are our biggest, bestest bashes to welcome in the New Year 2016:

1. 3rd Annual Countdown @ Princeton
This up-and-coming cultural hub is bringing its A game— if “A” is for Arts. Hop between 4 stages around town, with street performers to entertain you in between. And to really bring in the new year with a BANG, the sky will boom with glittering fireworks at midnight as the ball drops.

2. New Years at Pipestem
Enjoy one final fine meal of 2015 from the lavish buffet, then dance away the evening to the DJ… or your own voice on karaoke! Enjoy party favors, hors d’oeuvres galore and of course a midnight champagne toast!

3. NYE Celebration at the Resort at Glade Springs
Bring the whole family to party at separate celebrations for all age groups!

Adults can snack on hors d’oeuvres at Glade’s Bourbon Street New Year’s Eve Party,  enjoy music by The Stonestreet Band and Stolen Moments and drink champagne in the ballroom. There will be an open bar form 9-10 and cash bar the rest of the evening.

For the older kids, the Teen Bash will kick off in the leisure center, with bowling, basketball and appetizers. The younger kids can head to Camp Glade for dinner, games, movies and music.

Each celebration comes with party favors, and the package also includes breakfast and a room for everyone right there in the lodge.

4. NYE at AOTG
Head to Adventures on the Gorge to kick off the year with a full night of fun.

Start with a gourmet Appalachian meal from the award-winning Smokey’s buffet, then get down to the smooth sounds of the Mike Snodgrass Band. Enjoy party favors and grooving until the midnight champagne toast.

The cost starts at $20, and you can buy tickets to different portions of the evening separately if you prefer. Cabins are also 25% off (of already slashed winter rates) with your party reservation, so you can cozy up in the mountain scenery afterward.

And you can always start the year by marking off your adventurous resolutions. Ride the ziplines, work your way through the trees on TimberTrek’s aerial obstacle course and more.

6. First Day Hikes
If one of your resolutions was to stay healthy, a hike is a perfect way to start off on the right foot! Take a “First Day” hike and explore either Pipestem Resort State Park or Twin Falls Resort State Park with a ranger as your guide to all the most beautiful scenery and intriguing wildlife.
