In Southern West Virginia, there are 12 state parks and forests to choose from! If you love to play golf, chasing waterfalls or going off the beaten path on a hiking trail, we've got a state park for you.
Nowhere in America are there three national parks in such close proximity as here in Southern West Virginia. Comprised of sections of the New, Gauley and Bluestone rivers, the National Park Service manages more than 100,000 acres of river valley for the enjoyment of the public.
Many of the small towns in our mountains have lovely parks to enjoy, and each one holds a certain history. Spend time and make memories in one of Southern West Virginia's local parks.
