Where to Warm Up in Southern West Virginia – Coffee ShopsFebruary 8, 2019
Winter in West Virginia is unpredictable. One day it’s a sunny 40 degrees and the next is a snow storm and a brisk 5 degrees. Luckily, Southern West Virginia has a number of cute cafes and coffee shops that are sure to help you stay warm this winter.
Top Knot Coffee and Artisan Shop
With two locations, one in Oak Hill and another in Beckley, Top Knot Coffee and Artisan Shop is an alpaca-themed coffee shop. Their coffee beans are roasted in-house and they offer everything from mocha lattes to paninis. Plus, their shops are filled with goods from local artisans and alpaca products. Grab a coffee and buy a warm alpaca wool hat!
Chocolate Moose Roasted Coffee
Maybe you want a little adventure with a side of coffee? Then check out the Chocolate Moose Coffee shop. Located in the heart of Beckley and a part of the Outside-In Climbing Gym, you can grab a cup of joe and take on the rock climbing wall. It’s the perfect way to spend a cold day inside with delicious treats and a little fun!
Wood Iron Eatery
In downtown Fayetteville, a brand new restaurant is serving up fresh-brewed coffee and delicious treats. Stop by Wood Iron Eatery and try out the Hipster Bread (aka, avocado toast) or the AM Hand-Held, complete with homemade sausage. Don’t forget to grab a slice of their delicious pound cake before you leave!
One of the most unique restaurants is housed in an old church in downtown Fayetteville. Cathedral Cafe is known for delicious breakfast staples like cinnamon roll pancakes and waffles. Pair that with an organic, fair-trade coffee or espresso to help warm you up this winter.
Hebrews Coffee Company
