Skyline Grill – Ghent

Skyline Grill is located at the Skyline Lodge, near Winterplace Ski Resort. The restaurant offers original southern flavors, from “debris mac and cheese” to fried green tomatoes to shrimp and grits! This is an excellent place to dine after an adventure in the mountains. 

Tamarack – Beckley

Known as the Best of West Virginia, Tamarack is the ultimate culinary destination for visitors and locals alike! The menu features appetizing Appalachian-inspired cuisine prepared by West Virginia chefs, like pan-seared mountain trout and fried green tomato sandwiches. 

Weathered Ground Brewery – Ghent

A family-owned brewery located on stunning Southern West Virginia farmland, Weathered Ground Brewery has an assortment of small-batch ales on tap crafted with the finest local ingredients. The brewery also serves classic pub food like beer cheese and pretzels, buffalo wings, and pizza.

Calacino’s Pizzeria – Beckley

Calacino’s opened in 1934 and was Beckley’s first pizzeria, The menu features brick oven pizzas, pasta, wings, hot sandwiches (called “stackers”), and more. Specialties, like the “Dominick Supreme” pizza pie — loaded with four different types of meats and various vegetables — and the pepperoni rolls — a local favorite — keep their loyal customers coming back. 

Gino’s Pizza and Spaghetti House – Beckley
With more than 50 locations throughout West Virginia (it was also founded here in the state), Gino’s Pizza and Spaghetti House is a well-known restaurant chain in the region. From pizza and pasta dishes to their breaded chicken wings and sandwiches, Gino’s offers a wide array of Italian food. Looking for one of Gino’s signature items? Pasquale’s – Beckley

Pasquale’s is a family-owned and operated restaurant that has been serving the area for over 50 years. With more than 50 menu items — from spaghetti with meatballs and eggplant parmesan to stuffed flounder and veal marsala — there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Chocolate Moose – Beckley

A local coffee shop, Chocolate Moose serves fresh coffee from in-house roasted beans, flavored lattes, and cappuccinos. In addition to the specialty coffee drinks, the Chocolate Moose also offers a wide range of fresh smoothies and Hershey’s hand-dipped ice cream. The coffee shop is conveniently located by the Outside-In Climbing Gym and Mountain State Miniature Golf

The Dish Cafe – Daniels

The Dish Cafe brings healthy food choices and fresh ingredients to your table! The cafe purchases local beef and supports family farms in the region. The menu ranges from pecan-crusted trout to a roasted “porketta” sandwich, and there are plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Small Talk Cafe – Daniels

The Small Talk Cafe is located at The Resort at Glade Springs and is the perfect place for a cozy conversation. Feast on a warm cinnamon roll and a specialty espresso drink while catching up with a friend, or grab a snack on your way out to explore Southern West Virginia. Or dine luxuriously in a relaxed setting at Glade’s Grill and Bar.

The Char – Beckley

With a tradition of excellence, The Char is one of Raleigh County’s finest restaurants. Choose a delicious entree like lamb chops, French cut pork chop or shrimp scampi over rice.
