Since they were founded in 2005, The SteelDrivers have seen lineup changes, become regulars on the US Billboard Bluegrass charts, and been nominated for multiple Grammy awards, finally securing a win in 2016 for Best Bluegrass Album. Rolling Stone calls their style more like bluegrass-meets-gutbucket-blues and praises vocalist Gary Nichols forceful, husky sound.
