Geology Rocks

August 4: Join Geologist Ken Ashton and learn about rocks, minerals and fossils during the evening presentation. FREE. It’s outdoors at the amphitheater! We live on the third rock from the sun, learn about earth geology and to the sky for other rocks in orbit if we have a clear night. 8:00 p.m. Amphitheater.
August 5: Join Geologist Ken Ashton and learn about rocks, minerals and fossils on a morning geology walk. 10:00 a.m. Catch the Aerial Tram at the Canyon Rim Center Complex and meet at Mt. Creek Lodge at 10:00am to hike in the Bluestone gorge area. The Geology Rocks! walk is free, but there will be a reduced tram fee of $2 for the return trip. Open to the public. A lift down and a lift back with rocks and walk in the middle.
