Veterans Wall and War Memorial “A Wall for All”

A labor of love for one local Veteran has turned into a unique way to honor ALL Veterans who have served. The Wall is open to All who have served from West Virginia and beyond, those living and those who have passed on but leave a legacy of service behind. Currently the wall represents 1168 honorably discharged Veterans and is still expanding as Veterans and their families request to be added. Each brick is engraved with the Veterans’ name, branch of service and rank, duty station or war, and dates of service (years only). The War Memorial section of this display features those who lost their lives in conflict from Wyoming County, West Virginia. Conflicts include WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Civil War and the Mid Eastern Conflict. Take a drive down Rt. 10 to visit this beautiful and meaningful roadside attraction. Bring paper and a pencil/charcoal if you’d like to find a loved ones name and make an etching from the wall's surface. To learn more about this project or to have your Veteran added to the wall, contact Denny Lester, 304-923-7804. Bricks are $100 to cover the cost of the engraving and materials.
