Appalachian Fest Events at the Beckley Art Center

The Beckley Art Center is proud to host the musical talents and phenomenal storytelling of local legend John Wyatt: The Appalachian. His songs and stories of the mountains transport you back to another time and place drawing upon his personal experiences growing up in rural Appalachia. John Wyatt will perform live starting at 6 pm. Tickets are $15 are will be on sale up until the evening of the event by calling 304-253-9226. RSVP today!
August 26: 12-3pm
A perfect workshop for families and peoples of all ages and skill levels. Artist Christina Hototo will guide you in creating a paper mache creature. Keep one ear open, though, as you hear about the tales of monsters and creatures that have become legends of the mountain state. $15 per person includes all supplies. Participants are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages! RSVP today!
