What it’s all about:
Kelsey Hofe has designed a class specifically for theater performers, enthusiasts, and creators!
During this workshop, students will learn to utilize movement techniques within the bounds of theater performance to practice relaxation, body mapping, and breaking habits. This instructive and fun workshop is in video format, is pre-recorded, and will be viewable until March 31, after purchasing of the workshop.
Inspired by the Alexander Technique. Pages from the text will be shown during the video.
Workshop GOALS:
-Understanding how the body moves. -Becoming aware of your own movements.
-Exploring movements through short exercises.
-Follow along through the different exercises to better understand how movement can be translated to the theatre.
Instruction will include:
-Body mapping – definition and example
-How to do a body scan in daily life
-Notice your habits/how to break bad ones with Alexander
-Different movement exercises will be shown for you to use in your daily life, and in your acting
-How to apply Alexander to a performance
