We’re celebrating the official opening of Summersville Lake State Park on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10 AM to 2 PM—and you’re invited!
Here’s what you can look forward to:
• Meet Isaiah Tuck from the History Channel’s series Alone – he’ll be signing autographs and sharing stories from his wilderness adventures.
• WV DNR Conservation Officers and their amazing tracking dogs will showcase how they locate lost hikers and important items.
• NRAC (New River Alliance of Climbers) will be onsite to talk about climbing at the park and demonstrate climbing and bouldering techniques.
• Active Southern West Virginia will lead a group walk and share info about local outdoor opportunities.
• Visit Greater Summersville will be set up distributing Visitor’s Guides and other promotional items.
• Food trucks and more!
