Food vendors and organizations are invited to register for Beckley’s Coffee, Tea, & Sweet Treats Celebration on May 10, 2025. Part of the Rhododendron Festival, this tasty event features coffee, tea, and dessert-tasting, plus other food, musical performances, and Emergency Preparedness Fair booths. Consider using this opportunity to promote your business or organization and help raise funds for the United Way of Southern WV.
Organized by Beckley Events, this year’s event will take place along Main and Heber Streets from 11 am to 2 pm. The Preparedness Fair will be set up on Fayette Street beside the courthouse. If a rain location option is needed, the middle level of the Beckley Intermodal Gateway Parking Garage and along Leslie C. Gates Place might be considered.
Entertainment will be provided by the Salvation Army Band at 11 am and Woodrow Wilson High School Choir/Theatre students at noon on Main Street. Silverdale Studios will present their student band called “New Jade” at 1 pm at Shoemaker Square.
Food vendor participants should plan to provide at least 70 samples. Attendees will purchase tickets for samples, and the participants collect their tickets in exchange for samples. Participants may be reimbursed 25 cents per ticket collected or can opt to donate their proceeds to the cause. Participants may also sell larger portions, and other food, or items, and/or take orders at their booth. Take advantage of this opportunity to promote your drink/dessert, and/or your business or organization, plus support the United Way during this fun community event. Non-food booth spaces are also available for a $40 donation to the United Way of Southern West Virginia. Registration details and the form can be found in the documents section of Beckley.Events community calendar.
The community is invited to attend this event on May 10 downtown to help celebrate spring, kick off the Rhododendron Festival, sample tasty treats, learn about preparedness, and support the many charities of the United Way.
