Summersville Lake Battle Run Bird Walk

Join guide Daniel Rubianto for a bird walk at Battle Run at Summersville Lake!
Meet at the large gravel parking lot inside the Battle Run recreation area at 7:30AM and walk around the beach, shoreline, and open forests. This will be around peak fall migration for shorebirds! Prepare yourselves for some possible migrating species such as Spotted Sandpiper, Solitary Sandpiper, and Lesser/Greater Yellowlegs!
**This area is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and requires a day pass or seasonal pass to enter. Day passes are $5/vehicle and can be purchased at the entrance booths.
Please bring binoculars, water, sturdy hiking/walking shoes, and some snacks. A spotting scope is also recommended to see any shorebirds from a distance! This event is free and open to the public. An entrance fee is required to enter the area!
