**Smithers Jr. Skill Swap – Wednesday, July 16**Parents and caregivers across the Upper Kanawha Valley, mark your calendars for an afternoon that mixes life-saving skills with outdoor discovery—right here in Smithers.–

###  Event Line-Up

3:00 PM | “Predators Beware” Kid-Safety Workshop
Led by third-generation Bruce Lee lineage instructor Jason Daniel Lee (NextLevelJKD.com). Kids learn simple, age-appropriate ways to spot danger early, set clear boundaries, and protect themselves. Parents receive takeaway tips to reinforce the lessons at home.

4:00 PM | Nature Scavenger Hunt
Black Diamond Girl Scout Super Troop 10486, with troop leaders Katherine McGraw and Megan Massie, guides children along the City Walking Trail to identify native plants and wildlife. Finish back at the playground for popsicles, snacks, and photo-worthy bragging rights!—

###  Who Should Come* Kids **ages 5–12** ready to build confidence and curiosity.

* Parents, grandparents, guardians, homeschoolers, Scout troops, youth clubs, and church groups throughout Fayette and Kanawha counties.—

###  What to BringComfy shoes, outdoor play clothes, a refillable water bottle, and a can-do spirit. We provide all learning materials, scavenger lists, and post-hunt treats.—
