Camp Creek State Park is a favorite setting for the bird of prey program presented by Three Rivers Avian Center (TRAC) The educational birds are a great opportunity to learn what birds say “who cooks for me, who cooks for you all?” as well as meeting other raptors. You may hear owls when camping at Camp Creek.
This nature program is all about raptors native to West Virginia: hawks, eagles, falcons, and owls. You’ll learn about the habitat, diet and behavior of each bird presented, the most common causes of injury to each species and the laws protecting these special birds.
There is no fee to attend. Open to the public, the program lasts about an hour and is staged at the Earlie Moon Shelter. Questions are welcomed. This is a family friendly event. An excellent presentation for all ages.
