The New River Gorge Trail Festival is welcoming participants back to the wilderness in West Virginia for another year of trail racing events and outdoor adventure in the New River Gorge National Park. The events for this race will take place on June 20th and 21st of 2025, and registration is currently open for all distances.
“This event has brought runners from all over the country to the New River Gorge the past four
years to experience the scenic and historic trails in America’s newest national park”, says Brandon
Wise, co-owner of Wolf Creek Race Management, the professional race timing and services company that is organizing this festival for its 5th year in a row.
This trail festival offers 3 different events over 2 days that runners can participate in, including a 5k,
half marathon and 50k. For any runners feeling the urge to go that extra mile, there is an added
option to combine the 5k with either the half marathon or 50k.
No matter the route, participants will get to explore the forest trails deep into the heart of the New
River Gorge and see its breathtaking beauty firsthand, making this a fantastic opportunity that both
athletes and outdoor enthusiasts won’t want to miss. Participants of all ages and levels of running
experience are welcome to come and enjoy the scenic views of New River Gorge national park!
