History Talk at Canyon Rim Visitor Center: Railroad Storytelling

The railroad was the lifeblood of the New River Gorge during the industrial boom, connecting communities. Hear tales of how people built their lives around the comings and goings of trains through nationally known local folktales, tales of mysterious happenings, to poems inspired by railroad workers.
