Freshwater Folk Festival

The Freshwater Folk Festival is a combination of musical entertainment, various outdoor activities, and just plain fun.  The setting is the hatchery amphitheater, the rest of grounds of the fish hatchery, and the adjacent woods.

Performers include Ari Vaughn and Travis Farley with country music (10-11:40 AM), The Kountry Kickers clogging (11:40-Noon), Rush Run Philharmonic with folk and pop favorites (Noon-2 PM), and Carrie and Michael Kline with folk music, especially Appalachian (2-4 PM).

Activities will include Roy Moose & West Virginia Snakes, hatchery tours, Sharon Ginsburg Origami instruction, the Avian Center of Appalachia demonstrations, Tree ID Walk on the Loop Trail, Hands-On Art activities with Jessica Levine, Watershed Organization exhibits, Trout Unlimited fly-tying and fly-casting instructions, and a Lost World Cavern display. Other organizations and individuals will provide opportunities for learning and fun.

Food and crafts will be available for purchase.
