“It’s a great weekend of community, patriotism and love! All are welcome to attend Mecot’s Ruck / Hike & Cookout at Pipestem Resort State Park. On Friday, there will be a Fallen Hero Memorial Service along the banks of the Bluestone River, via the new, state-of-the-art tram system, followed by dinner and entertainment at Mulligan’s Restaurant at Pipestem. On Saturday, the hike registration begins at 8:30am at McKeever Lodge at Pipestem. There will be a 2-mile or 7-mile hike followed by a cookout and evening entertainment with Rock House Road Band at Black Bear Grille at Pipestem. Hosted by the Marine Corps League #1461. All proceeds go directly to this organization. Memorial Service is free. Ruck/ Hike cost includes registration, t-shirt and cookout: $20 – Adult. $10 – Student. Kids under 10 – Free.
