Spend an evening with live music from Randy Gilkey at The Grove in Fayetteville beginning at 7 p.m.

Friday March 23

Electro-funk band The Tangled Rootswith special guest Collateral Jamagewill perform live at Melody’s beginning at 10 p.m.

3PC & A Biscuit will play live at The Grove in Fayetteville 8 to 11 p.m.

Saturday March 24

The Krista Hughes Bandwill perform live bringing you classic country tunes at Calacino’s Pizzeria beginning at 8 p.m.

Former baseball star turned musician Alex Smith will perform his music live at The Grove in Fayetteville beginning at 8 p.m.

Black Garlic will perform at Weathered Ground Brewery in Cool Ridge beginning at 6 p.m.

Sunday March 25

The Urban Pioneers will play tunes from their new album “Hillbilly Swing” at Melody’s from 7 to 10 p.m.

Reggae musician Shayar will make his way to Weathered Ground Brewery in Cool Ridge to perform some of his music live from 2 to 6 p.m.

The River City Brass, a brass ensemble from Pittsburgh, PA, has one of the most active schedules among American touring ensembles, performing dozens of concerts on tour each year for community performing arts series, corporate events, major music festivals and more.  The River City Brass’s unique repertoire, virtuoso musicians, and accessible performances make the ensemble an ideal choice featuring a variety of brass instruments.

Lore and Tracking Weekend @ Twin Falls Resort State Park

“Lore and Tracking Weekend Workshop” focuses on Cultural Exchanges during the 18th century in the southern Appalachian Mountains.

Twin Falls is a resort park nestled in the rugged mountainous terrain of Wyoming County. Abundant wildlife at the park helps enhance your tracking skills—skills necessary to the survival of 18th century peoples who frequented the trails of the region on hunting, trading, and warring expeditions. Other skills of 18th century cultures are explored also, e.g., plant uses, scavenging, and hide tanning. Special 18th century foods are part of the weekend as well. The weekend event also provides credits for participants in the West Virginia Master Naturalist Program and Merit Badges for scout groups (girls & boys). Bring warm clothes, sturdy footwear, camera, binoculars, and notepad to get the most out of the weekend. Begins 7pm on Friday.

81st Annual Feast of the Ramson. Camp Creek State Park Timbersports Competition and Ramp Feast @ Camp Creek State Park

Experience a spring West Virginia culinary tradition with a Ramp Feast and watch the area’s only timbersport competition. There will be a flower and bird walk at 8 a.m., with the feast from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The dinner includes ramp casserole, brown beans, cornbread, slaw and drink for $12. The timbersport competition, featuring the country’s best, is free to watch and will run from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m.-3 p.m.

Wonderland Mountain Challenge @ ACE Adventure Resort

Join ACE Adventure Resort for a demanding trail run through the beautiful mountains in West Virginia on Memorial Day weekend. Choose between a half-marathon, 10K run, or a 5 mile walk. Chix is in the name, but we won’t exclude the guys that respect our Grit – those guys are man enough to run with Gritty Chix! It’s all about excitement, laughter and camaraderie so we encourage lending a helping hand to all Gritty Chix throughout the course. Open to ages 10 and up; under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Have fun and test your own limits in the time and space you’re comfortable with, while gettin’ as Gritty as you wanna be on an untimed Tenacious 5k Trail or 1 Moxie Mile fun-run and mud obstacle course designed for excitement, fun, and laughter. Walk, sprint, skip, jog, or dance through trails, over walls, through tubes, and mud pits with names like Commando Crawl, Over-Under Logs, Slickey Slide, and more!

Wear anything you feel comfortable in. Anything. A bikini, a costume, overalls, a prom dress, whatever. But it will get dirty!

35th Annual Bear Hole Road Race @ Twin Falls Resort State Park

A challenging, but rewarding 10k (6.2 miles) run is on paved road flanked by a beautiful forest. A 5k race and a one mile fun run for those looking for shorter runs or slower pace.
