Late Summer Festivals and Events
While summer may be coming to a close, that doesn’t mean that things are slowing down in Southern West Virginia! From fall-focused festivals and fun events, there are a variety of ways to celebrate the end of summer.
CultureFest 2019
September 5-8, Pipestem, WV

A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier
September 9 -15, White Sulphur Springs, WV
A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier, formerly known as The Greenbrier Classic, has built a reputation as one of the can’t-miss events on the PGA Tour schedule. With some of the biggest names in golf, picturesque scenery and incredible history, this event has become a favorite among fans and players alike.
37th Annual Lumberjackin’ Bluegrassin’ Jamboree
September 21 – 22, Mullens, WV
This family-oriented event, featuring a lumberjack competition, music, and hayrides is coordinated by Twin Falls Resort State Park. The College TimberSports Teams will be competing in ax throw, log roll, crosscut saw, chain saw, one-man bucking, bolt splitting, horizontal chop, pole fell and more.
Grape Stompin’ Wine Festival
The 28th Annual Grape Stompin’ Festival includes wine tastings, a craft show, vineyard and distillery tours and a grape stomping competition.
The Great Beckley Beer Festival

Breweries from around the state, region and national will gather at the Beckley Intermodal Gateway for The Great Beckley Beer Festival. Featuring over 10 local musical acts, craft brews and local food – this is a can’t miss event!
Thurmond Ghost Hunt
