There’s no place like home for the holidays! But if you find yourself needing to get out of the house or just want to do some exploring, check out these new and notable Southern West Virginia establishments.

Family Fun
Want to show the kids around town? Don’t miss out on Outside In Climbing Gym in Beckley! This newer establishment brings the outdoors in on a climbing wall. The whole family will have a blast climbing routes on ropes and harnesses or trying out the bouldering cave. When you’re done, swing by The Chocolate Moose, an adjoining coffee shop for lattes and hot chocolate.

Eateries
You just rolled into town, family dinner is hours away and you’re starving. Where do you go? Why not head to someplace local and new!

Wood Iron Eatery is a brand new restaurant in Fayetteville that’s serving up breakfast, brunch and lunch options that are sure to delight your taste buds. Try the Hipster Bread (aka, avocado toast) or the AM Hand-Held, complete with homemade sausage. You won’t want to leave without having a cup of coffee, either!

If you’re after a caffeine fix, visit Top Knot Artisan and Coffee Shop! This Southern West Virginia establishment now has two locations: one in downtown Oak Hill, and the other in Uptown Beckley. Grab a delicious muffin to go with your latte, or stay for a heartier meal like one of their smashed sandwiches.

Brews and More
