Italian Restaurants in Southern West Virginia

A good meal and good wine

Southern West Virginia is known for many things, from our national parks and outdoor recreation to our rich history and performing arts. But one of our favorite, and most delicious, features is our food! Our area’s exquisite Italian restaurants offer mouth-watering specialties like brick oven pizza and classic pastas. Hungry? Here are some of our local favorites.

Calacino’s Pizzeria

Opened in 1934, Calacino’s was Beckley’s first pizzeria. The menu features brick oven pizzas, pasta, wings, hot sandwiches (called “stackers”) and more. Specialties, like the Dominick Supreme pizza pie — loaded with four different types of meats and various vegetables — and the pepperoni rolls — a local favorite — keep their loyal customers coming back.

Pasquale’s is a family-owned and operated restaurant located in Beckley that has been serving our area for over 50 years. Specializing in both intimate, formal dining and group events, Pasquale’s is popular with residents and travelers alike. With over 50 menu items — from spaghetti with meatballs and eggplant parmesan to stuffed flounder and veal marsala — there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Gino’s Pizza and Spaghetti House

With more than 50 locations throughout West Virginia (it was also founded here in the state), Gino’s Pizza and Spaghetti House is a well-known restaurant chain in the region. From pizza and pasta dishes to their breaded chicken wings and sandwiches, Gino’s offers a wide array of Italian food. Looking for one of Gino’s signature items? Try a ham pubwich or a made-to-order calzone!
