Formed in 1939 at the Alabama Institute for the Negro Deaf and Blind, the group has remained true to its roots while redefining gospel music for new generations. Their powerful harmonies and soul-stirring performances have earned them five Grammy Awards, a Gospel Music Hall of Fame induction, and invitations to perform at the White House.
