Bat Boy: The Musical

This November, WV Collective invites you to Hope Falls, WV, for BAT BOY: THE MUSICAL — a hilarious, bloody, heartfelt, and completely bizarre cult-classic rock musical inspired by the infamous Weekly World News Bat Boy.

After a mysterious half-boy, half-bat creature is discovered living in a cave, the family of a local veterinarian takes him in. They name him Edgar, teach him to speak and behave like a civilized young man, and attempt to introduce him to a community that isn’t exactly known for embracing things it doesn’t understand.

And then things get weird.

Really weird.

Part horror comedy, part rock musical, part small-town satire, Bat Boy is a story of love, family, fear, acceptance, angry townspeople, religious revival, dead cattle, horrifying secrets and one exceptionally well-spoken creature who just wants to belong.
