Conservation Day with the Lorax at Grandview - September 20, 2025

Head to the New River Gorge National Park & Preserve on Saturday, September 20, for Conservation Day at the Grandview Amphitheater from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The New River Conservancy, WV Rivers Coalition, and the Dr. Seuss Foundation partners to host this free, fun-filled event.

Conservation Day will feature activities for all ages, including interactive kids’ games and hands-on exhibits, as well as live talks on protecting our forests, rivers, and public lands.

The Lorax will also be on the scene, allowing you to meet him in person, snap a photo, and enter to win a free copy of The Lorax book and movie.

Stick around after the festivities for a free outdoor screening of the beloved Dr. Seuss film.

Every guest gets a New River Activity Guide and a commemorative decal, so you’ll leave with both memories and resources to protect the wild places we love.
