Make plans to attend Farm Fest at Sunset Farm in Alderson, West Virginia, on Labor Day weekend (August 30 – September 1, 2025) .

Farm Fest is a three-day harvest celebration for our favorite summer crops  at Sunset Farm. The celebration starts with mouthwatering Watermelon  on Saturday, soaking up the sun with Sunflowers  and butterflies  on Sunday, and finally, a sweet peachy-tasting event  on Monday.

Farm Fest has something for everyone, from live entertainment with Lee Dean’s tribute to Elvis , Johnny Cash , and Sinatra  to a magic show by Cincinnati Circus , delicious dessert-tasting events , and a kids’ fun zone featuring the state’s largest outdoor bounce pad , tractor-pulled rides , and enchanted forest .

If you’re competitive, we have contests for you, such as watermelon eating , seed-spitting , and frog-hopping . Use your creativity in the “build your own flower bouquet” workshop  with Carol Hannegan Legg of Leggacy Farm, and release a butterfly  to embrace a new chapter in your life or in honor of someone special. Be sure to practice your watermelon crawl skills  and be ready to break out in random dances with us !
