Get your sweet tooth ready – the Lewisburg Chocolate Festival is almost here! On April 14, downtown Lewisburg will be packed with people enjoying all sorts of sweet treats, and we’ve got the scoop on what you can expect from this year’s festival.

Every year, downtown Lewisburg presents its best and chocolatey-est creations for you to try!

Jim’s Drive-In at Patina: Chocolate Covered Bacon
Food & Friends: Triple Chocolate Bread Pudding
Greenbrier Valley Brewing at Harmony Ridge Gallery: Chocolate Scottish Ale

Events
Think the Chocolate Festival is all tastings? Think again! The festival also offers other entertainment and events during the day.

Work for your treats! The Chocolate Chase 10k benefits HospiceCare of the Greenbrier Valley and starts at 9 a.m. at the Greenbrier Valley Airport. Registration is still open!

Start your day with a delicious brunch! From 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. a chocolate themed brunch will be served at the Greenbrier Valley Public Library. Tickets are $10 and $5 for children 10 and under. Reserve yours at the library of by calling (304) 647-7568.

Think you have a winning recipe? Submit it in the All Things Chocolate Bake-off! The Bake-off benefits the Greenbrier Humane Society. Bring your goodies to Premier Bank in downtown Lewisburg before the festival. Registration is from 10 – 11 a.m. and and costs $5.

Enjoy live music all day long! Artists will play at the City Greenspace during the festival. Krista Hughes & Jay Milam will play from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., BlacKingCoal will play from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., and Adam DeGraff will play from 2:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.

If you need to take a break from tastings, head to the Lewis Theater for a free showing of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory! Show time is 2:30 p.m. – get there early!

When you’re done at the festival, stick around for dinner! Several Lewisburg establishments will be serving chocolate-themed entrees after the festival. Check out the website for specific menus! And if you didn’t get your fill of Greenbrier Valley Brewing at the festival, head to their taproom for their 3rd Anniversary Party!
