Forget roughing it. This majestic wilderness gets you away from modern pressures—without skimping on comfort.
Twin Falls Resort State Park boasts incomparable natural beauty. You can hike or bike for miles on quiet trails; search for cascades; and watch dusk settle over rolling mountain ridges. It gets even better at night. All 14 cabins are tucked away in a hillside forest. Basic but comfortable, each one has a fireplace, kitchenette, utensils, and linens.
The 47-room lodge is another option. Poised atop a mountain, it features a fitness center, indoor pool and hot tub, and gift shop. There’s also a full-service restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can even request boxed meals!
As a resort, Twin Falls doesn’t lack for entertainment. The pioneer farm is a real gem. Managed by a live-in ranger, the recreated homestead has pigs, horses, sheep, and chickens. It’s an enchanting sight. You can also play on an 18-hole championship golf course; equipment rentals are available.
But wait—there’s more!
Southern West Virginia has private cabins, too. What’s more, they often feature special amenities. Ever stay in a yurt? A treehouse? Want a hot tub and a firepit for those chili West Virginia nights? We have you covered.
