Ice Skating in Beckley
New this year – go ice skating with your family at the Coal Town Christmas event! This new fun activity will be available daily through December 8. Skating price will be included during Coal Town Christmas Event on December 6 and 7.

Appalachian Coal Town Christmas
Underground mine tours, a marshmallow roast, ice skating and caroling await you at Appalachian Coal Town Christmas at the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine. Both gift shops will be open for holiday shopping, and an ornament workshop will be offered at the Youth Museum. All of the Christmas lights and decorations will be above ground. This event will be held December 6 – 7.

Santa’s Christmas Adventure
Create memories that will last a lifetime at Santa’s Christmas Adventure at The Resort at Glade Springs. Children will write letters to Santa Claus, assist Santa’s elves in his workshop, try Mrs. Claus’ Christmas cookies and even meet Santa Claus himself during this fun, one-of-a-kind experience. Plus, for one night only, experience the Fright Before Christmas, a Christmas/Krampus themed haunted attraction on Friday the 13th. Partial proceeds will be donated to Toys for Tots. Fayetteville Gingerbread Festival
Fayetteville will host its Gingerbread Festival on December 6, which will include the 2nd Annual Gingerbread Decorating Contest! The gingerbread contest is open to all ages and all skill levels and all entries will be on display during the festival. Enjoy holiday shopping at the Fayetteville Women’s Club’s Christmas Craft show with over 50 craft vendors and at the Fayetteville Arts Coalition’s Holiday Sampler. Have breakfast with Santa at Cathedral Café and watch your favorite Christmas characters come to life with Fayetteville’s Christmas Parade Saturday December 7, at 2pm.

Breakfast With Santa
On December 7 at the Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton, step inside a winter wonderland and enjoy a catered breakfast, activities with Mrs. Claus, entertainment throughout the morning, and of course a visit with Mr. Claus himself! Each child will receive a keepsake photo and a special gift from Santa. Reservations are required.

Mount Hope: Hope’s Christmas Town
On December 14, enjoy Brunch with Santa at the Historic Cottle Mountainair Hotel, walk along Main Street and grab a free cup of Wassel from one of the many giving stations scattered through town. Step into the Christmas market where you can purchase local handmade Christmas crafts from local artisans and watch Frosty come through town during the Winter Wonderland Christmas parade. You won’t want to miss Hope’s Christmas Town!
