Winterplace Ski Resort has announced that it will open tomorrow, Saturday December 14! The latest cold snap allowed Winterplace to fire up the snow guns and prepare for the ski season! The resort is working to cover its 27 slopes, tubing park, terrain park and kids area. As the most accessible ski resort in the Southeast, Winterplace is located just off I-77 between Beckley and Bluefield. This Sunday, December 15, Winterplace Ski Resort will be offering a Ski Free & Learn Free Day for West Virginia residents. This includes a free lift ticket and a free beginner lesson. To receive a free lift ticket, residents must show proof of West Virginia residency.
