The Granada Theater
The Historic Granada Theater opened its doors to the Public in 1928. Many famous Celebrities, Political and Religious Leaders have graced the stage of The Granada. As time would have it, The Granada closed and fell into disrepair. In 2015, the Bluefield Arts and Revitalization Group comprised of community members and organizations, came together to re-open the Historic Granada Theater restore and it to its former glory. It reopened its doors in 2021. In 2023, The Granada Theater remodeled and opened its lower level which now is home to two new stadium seating, Dolby surround sound cinemas known as: The Raleigh Street Cinemas. This area of the historic theater features the top playing movies in the nation. This gem of Mercer County has been revitalized to bring live events, first-run movies, and can be rented for private parties, conventions, expos, etc. This is a great place for the community to gather.
