Cruising Around Town on Friday, July 7 – Vehicles leave Archie’s Cruisers (regular Friday evening cruise-in gathering at B-Macs in Beaver) around 6:00-6:30 pm to cruise to Robert C. Byrd Drive (former Valley Drive) and circle around downtown Beckley ending at Word Park to enjoy music and a food vendor at the park. Please note that these are not formal cruises where all the cars stay together. These cruises are meant to be more casual cruising like many locals used to do in the 60s, 70s, and 80s along Valley Drive. It is fine if some of the cars stay together, but please follow all the rules of driving (stop lights, stop signs, speed limit).Please be careful when exiting Archie’s Cruisers lot in Beaver. Drive whichever route you like to arrive on Valley Drive (now Robert C. Byrd Drive). Then, make a circle around downtown and park at the lot by Word Park. 70s/80s music provided by Quiet Enough, plus Patriot Food Wagon will be set up between 6-7:30 pm. You are welcome to make a few loops along the former Valley Drive before and/or after the music. Happy Cruising!
