The Beckley Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the organization’s 101st Annual Dinner to be held on March 31, 2022, at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center. The chamber celebrated its 99th dinner in 2019, skipped 2020, and held the 100th event as a small luncheon in 2021 for only the board of directors, award recipients, and their families.
An Annual Dinner is a community-centered event where business colleagues will come together to honor the 2022 Community Leadership Award Recipient, Tom Cochran, Director, Raleigh County Memorial Airport, and hear from featured speaker, General Major Hoyer, Senior Associate VP, West Virginia University.
Since 1991, the Community Leadership Award has been given annually to the business leader or organization who has most positively impacted the community through their excellence in business leadership and community service over their lifetime.
The featured speaker at the Annual Dinner will be Maj. Gen. James Hoyer, who was head of the West Virginia National Guard as part of Governor Justice’s administration until being recently appointed as Senior Associate Vice President at West Virginia University. There he will be the leader of the Joint Task Force on Vaccination and a key member of the COVID-19 advisory team.
Social Hour for the Chamber’s Annual Dinner is from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm followed by dinner, the Community Leadership Award presentation, and featured speaker. Tickets for the event are $75 per person and table sponsorships are available. To reserve, please call Denise at the chamber of commerce at 304.252.7328 or email denise@brccc.com
