Start hiking at 10:00 a.m. from the patio at Mountain Creek Lodge. Ride the aerial tram down to Mountain Creek for this 10 mile hike from Pipestem State Park to Bluestone State Park. Wear good shoes, bring a light lunch (sandwiches and such), and plenty of water. A shuttle returns hikers to Pipestem around 4:00 p.m.
Preregistration recommended due to limited shuttle space. Sign up at the nature center or call Julie McQuade. Allow about 4-5 hours for the Bluestone Turnpike Hike. Hike leader is a National Park Service Ranger.
