"For the Birds" is the theme of our Beckley Art Group Members Exhibition 2014. The exhibit encompasses a variety of mediums, styles and interpretations of them theme. Gallery open 11am to 5pm Wednesday through Saturday and 1pm to 4pm on Sundays.
Gale Buck, author of over 200 short stories and two published books, is an avid storyteller and promoter of the vocal art. Crew pulls into town with everything needed for a full scale theatre production, except the cast! That's where area students, entering 1st through 12th grade, come in. audition on Monday, rehearse throughout the week, and by Saturday perform in the theatre production in front of family and friends. Optional workshops are available throughout the week.
From Greenville in Monroe County, WV, Hans Creek String Band, formerly Hans Creek Grass, is a traditional bluegrass group that will get your toes tapping and your hands clapping. The band touts a strong mountain heritage that fuels their need to promote, restore and keep bluegrass music alive in West Virginia.
