DESCRIPTION:Carnegie Hall’s 2023 Ivy Terrace Concert Series continues Thursday\, July 27\, at 6:30 p.m. with the WestVirginia Jazz Orchestra (WVJO). Sponsored by City National Bank\, the concert takes place outside on\nCarnegie Hall’s Ivy Terrace as attendees watch from the expansive lawn in front of New River\nCommunity and Technical College. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and\npack a picnic to enjoy live music. All Ivy Terrace concerts are free\, open to the public\, and alcohol free.\nThe West Virginia Jazz Orchestra was formed in 2000 by Joe Buttram\, Peter Hill\, & Gary Williams and\nquickly selected Jeff Bryant as their music director. The group is made up of 21 performers who play\nmostly music from the Big Band era. The band has two vocalists and performs locally for a variety of\noccasions.\nThe WVJO is a 501c3 organization and is co-sponsored by American Federation of Musicians Local 674\nand the Greenbrier Valley Theatre and is committed to service as a charitable\, literary\, and educational\norganization serving the Greenbrier Valley and the Allegheny Highlands.\nGreenbrier Dairy’s Cow Licks Dessert Trailer and Kitchen 304 will be on location.
