Hosting an array of activities and a spectacular Grand Parade and Fireworks Display on July 4th!  \n\n\n\n2025 SCHEDULE OF EVENTSFRIDAY\, JUNE 276pm: Fireman’s Rodeo – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) FREE ADMISSION. Come watch local and surrounding fire departments compete.  \n\n\n\nSATURDAY\, JUNE 28 \n\n\n\n\n8am: Youth Bicycle Race Registration – (Corner of Virginia St. & Elmwood Ave.) (3 age divisions) 4-6\, 7-9 and 10-12 9am: Youth Bicycle Race\n\n\n\n1pm: *9th Annual Horse Show – (117 Greenbrier River Estates\, Alderson\, WV 24910) (Glen Ray Rd.) Registration at 10:00 a.m.\, Negative Coggins Required. \n\n\n\n5-6pm: Registration for Kids Fishing Tournament – (Alderson Alumni Park & Gazebo)\n\n\n\n6pm: Kids Fishing Tournament – (Alderson Alumni Park & Gazebo) Ages 3-14\n\n\n\n\nWednesday\, July 2 \n\n\n\n\n9am: Judging Home and Business Decorating Contest – Best 4th of July themed decorations! \n\n\n\n\nThursday\, July 3 \n\n\n\n\n9am: Registration: 1st Annual Silas Brown Memorial Poker Run – (Riverview Exxon) \n\n\n\n4-6pm: Tours of Alderson Elementary School – Tours will run every 30 minutes.\n\n\n\n7-9pm: Midland Trail Band – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) FREE ADMISSION. Wide variety of music!\n\n\n\n\nFriday\, July 4 \n\n\n\n\n8am: Parade Line Up – (Alderson Elementary School on Virginia St.) Line up depends on your arrival. \n\n\n\n10am – 3pm: Alderson 4th of July Car Show – (Old Greenbrier Baptist Church Parking Lot) (North Monroe Street) \n\n\n\n10:30am: 2025 Grand Parade – Queens\, floats\, cars\, bicycles\, tractors\, horses and fire engines. Trophies and prizes in all categories. Something for everyone! After parade\, trophies and prizes can be picked up at the Alderson Memorial Football Field.\n\n\n\n1pm: Craft & Food Vendors – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) Come and support our unique craft and food vendors throughout the day.\n\n\n\n1pm: Presentation of Colors – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) 4th of July Salute\, Awarding of parade prizes\, Raising of flag by Greenbrier East High School J.R.O.T.C. and the VFW Post #6723.\n\n\n\n1pm – 9:30pm: WV Inflatables – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) Bounce Houses & More! $5 wristbands per day.\n\n\n\n1:30pm: Field Events – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) Afternoon filled with fun and events for everyone.
