Join us for the second annual Coalfields Cookoff.  A one of a kind event, hosted by the City of Welch, WV, on Friday, June 10th (BBQ set up), and public events are Saturday, June 11, 2022, in wonderful McDowell County, WV.

Come and experience what wild and wonderful West Virginia is all about! BBQ competitions, the best music in the mountains, and an ATV festival, all rolled into one!

The festival will feature the WV State BBQ Championships sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society for pro pit-masters and backyard BBQ teams, as well as live music.

Nashville recording artist Jesse Keith Whitley will perform on Friday, June 10, at 7 p.m.  Whitley is the son of country legend Keith Whitley and Lorrie Morgan and often performs some of their famous hits along with his original music.

Added events include the Museum on Main Street Crossroads Exhibit sponsored by the Smithsonian at the Jack Caffery Center and a presentation of the Terror of the Tug on the Courthouse steps at noon.

Tickets are $20 and include both days events. Check website for full calendar of activities.
