Twin Falls State Park

January the 16th. 2021 we will be hosting 2 activities, folks who would like to attend one or both are required to contact our front desk at 304-294-4000 to be put on the preregistration list. We will only allow 25 people Max to attend either so reserve your place.
CLIFFSIDE HIKE 10:00 a.m. – Join the Park Naturalist for a guided hike on the Cliffside Trail. Learn about the 776 acres of Old Growth Forest and what it takes for a forest to be considered “Old Growth”. The Naturalist will talk to folks about the Rhododendron and teach you some fun facts you may not know about our State Flower. The hike is 3 miles, allow 2 hrs to conclude the hike, dress appropriately it is a bit nippy this time of year. Folks who plan on attending will meet at the Cliffside Trailhead located in the campground area behind the campground store. Dogs are welcomed to attend but must be leashed at all times and we will offer doggie clean up bags.
WINTER CAMPFIRE 2:00 p.m. – Join the Park Naturalist and storyteller David Stover (aka) “Bugs” for a snowy afternoon around the campfire as bugs tell stories of the Polk Gap monster, the children who haunt the park, and many more.
