July 4th (On the 5th) Family Carnival and Fireworks

We do it on July 5th so we don’t interfere with the town of Visit Fayetteville, WV celebration on the 4th—which you should also check out!
All-American grilled food ($) and music round out this locally acclaimed July 4th (on the 5th) event. Bring the family and come on down. It’s FREE to attend for resort guests and anybody else who wants to join in!

Fireworks explode over the New River Gorge. Be advised that from 8pm(ish) until 10pm(ish), Chestnutburg Rd. will be closed for safety reasons. A shuttle will be provided to and from Mountain State Campground. And of course, you can see the show just fine from virtually anyplace on the south rim of the Gorge.
