Gauley Season!
September 8, 2023 - October 22, 2023
The world-class Gauley River runs 23 days in 2023 – these special dates coincide with dam releases to bring Summersville Lake down to winter pool making for an incredible rafting adventure.
Release dates are:
September: 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30
October: 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 (Bridge Day) and 22
The Lower Gauley is a fun, exciting trip suitable for beginners as well as those looking for adventure. Typical minimum age 12.
The Upper Gauley is for the experienced adventure seekers – typical minimum age is 16.
