Fayetteville’s Heritage Festival – 4th of July Celebration

Celebrate America’s birthday in America’s coolest small town. We invite you and your family to join our community in celebration. Experience the magic of our small-town Independence Day Celebration with Fayetteville’s Heritage Festival. This event features fun activities for the whole family with a 4th of July Parade, fireworks, craft vendors, food vendors, live music, and more! One of the highlights of the celebration is the 4th of July Parade where you will see an explosion of patriotism with decked-out floats. The festivities will be capped off by a fireworks extravaganza at the Charlie McCoy Town Park at dusk (7/6)

Wednesday – July 3rd

4-9pm: Carnival at The Charlie McCoy Town Park

Thursday – July 4

  • 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. Vendors – Downtown Fayetteville
  • 1-4pm, 5-10pm Carnival at The Charlie McCoy Town Park
  • 2:30 pm, Old Fashioned Cake Walk and Youth Cookie Walk
  • 3:30pm, Hula Hoop Contest
  • 4pm Balloon Toss
  • 5pm, The Best Small Town 4th of July Parade
  • 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Street Dance – Exiles Band, Court Street, Fayetteville

Friday – July 5

  • 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. Vendors – Downtown Fayetteville
  • 12-3pm – George Dome Band
  • 1-4pm, 5-10pm Carnival at The Charlie McCoy Town Park
  • 5pm Patriotic Pet Contest and Gaga Ball Tournament
  • 6-9pm Buddy Allen & The Cheat River Band – Charlie McCoy Town Park

Saturday – July 6

  • 8am-12pm, Fayette County Farmers Market at the Courthouse Parking Lot
  • 9am Star Spangled Races, 5k & 15k, powered by Active Southern WV at Bridge Brew Works on the Wolf Creek Trails
  • 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. Vendors – The Charlie McCoy Town Park
  • 1-4pm, 5-10pm Carnival at The Charlie McCoy Town Park
  • 3-5pm – Silver Streak, The Charlie McCoy Town Park
  • 5pm – Hot Dog Eating Contest Sponsored by Tudors Biscuit World
  • 6-9pm – Exiled Band, The Charlie McCoy Town Park

Free Shuttle Service July 6th from 5-10pm, stops at Fayetteville PK8 School, the Memorial Building, Board of Education lots and the Charlie McCoy Town Park
