Earth Day Celebration

April 23 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Celebrate Earth Day! For a Girl Scout, being green is in our DNA! Since 1912, Girl Scouts across the nation have accepted the charge to get outdoors, respect wildlife, and take care of our environment. At this particular event, the group will be taking part in GSUSA’s national service project first by taking the Tree Promise and planting trees around the wetland area at Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, WV. In addition, there will be various activity stations to learn more about the power of trees, watershed preservation, and the Leave No Trace Principles. Participants will make seed bombs and other recycled crafts, as well as, enjoy other environmentally-themed activities. Earth Day is a day to celebrate our Earth and renew our commitment to using our resources wisely!
Note: Bring a bag lunch and drink. A snack will be provided. Girls will get the Tree Promise Patch.
Learn more and register by April 1 at https://mygs.girlscouts.org/event-detail?id=289-EDC22KJF. Open to Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors.
