Line. Shape. Value. Texture. Color. Explore the 5 Elements of Art; the basic ingredients of that artists use to create art.
Description: Students will learn the 5 elements of art; the basic ingredients the artist uses separately or in combination to produce artistic imagery. The use of the 5 elements produce the visual language of art. Each week will focus on one element; Line, Shape, Value, Texture, and Color. Through the exploration of the elements, students will discover artists, art periods, genres and art works that exemplify each element. Students will also use and explore the elements with various media to create an art journal to keep for future reference.

Duration: 3 hours
Price: $150 for all 5 classes, $35 per class for 1-4 classes
