3 Days of Hiking on Peters Mountain

Friends of Monroe is excited that things are moving forward with the WV Scenic Trails Association Annual Trek.  September 16, 17 & 18^th, the organized hike will take place in Monroe County on Section 4 of the Allegheny Trail.  Each day’s itinerary is planned to be suitable for those who would like to hike and then return home or to their Airbnb at the end of the day.  This hike is perfect for those wanting to hike all three days and camp along the route or at Moncove Lake State Park too.  Days one and two will start from Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory on Limestone Hill Road at the top of Peters Mountain near Waiteville, WV.   For the full itinerary, meal, and shuttle information, visit the event page, www.wvscenictrails.org/trek.
