One of the oldest and most historic homes in WV. Colonel James Graham built this unique three-story log cabin between 1770 and 1772. It served as home for the Graham family as well as a fortress to protect settlers from Indian attacks. Attack in 1777 led to the death of Graham's son and the capture of his daughter. He found and rescued her 8 years later. The Graham House Preservation Society maintains the house and offers tours on weekends from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Saturday 11-5; Sunday 1-5. Cost is $2 adult; $0.50 for children.
