It’s that time of year, when West Virginians head out to the forests foraging for the delicious wild ramp. Whether you have your own secret spot known for producing amazing ramps, or you struck out on your last foraging adventure and had to buy some, there are a number of amazing dishes you can make from these wild onions.

Feast of the Ramson
The oldest ramp festival in West Virginia, The Feast of the Ramson in Richwood is celebrating it’s 81st year! On Saturday, April 13, come out and enjoy a number of ramp delicacies, live music and an arts & crafts fair in downtown Richwood!
Camp Creek State Park Timbersports Competition and Ramp Feast
As the area’s only event of its kind, the Camp Creek State Park Timbersports Competition and Ramp Feast has everything from lumberjack competitions to a delicious ramp casserole dinner. The event, to be held on Saturday, April 27, is a great way to enjoy the best of West Virginia.
Ramp It Up Ramp Festival
New this year is the Ramp It Up! Ramp Celebration at ACE Adventure Resort in Minden. On May 4, stop by the Lost Paddle to enjoy wood-fired ramp & potato pizza, ramp o’roni rolls and even ramp meatloaf! Greenbrier Brewing Company will be on-hand to provide beer pairings for certain ramp dishes.
