Appalachian Festival Celebrates the Best of the Region!

Organized by the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce, the Appalachian Festival is now in its 24th year. The week-long Festival includes collaborative partners such as Beckley Events, the Youth Museum, Daniel Vineyards, and Tamarack each hosting their own event throughout the week celebrating Appalachian culture.

The festival takes place August 22nd – 29th, 2020 and will feature arts, crafts, music, history and more. Events, as part of the Appalachian Festival, will be happening throughout Beckley and Raleigh County.

Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center

One of the main events of the festival is the arts and crafts fair at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center. There will be featured vendors showcasing their talent, including woodworking, quilts, sculptures and more for sale. While you shop, there will be live music and food vendors throughout the center as well.

In conjunction with the arts and crafts fair, the The Appalachian Treasures Quilt Show will showcase the talents of the region’s finest quilt makers. Competing in different categories, quilters will enter their creations to see who ranks among the best.

Admission to the arts and crafts fair is $5 for adults; children 12 and under are admitted free. Hours for the show are as follows:
