Trick-Or-Treat Times for Southern West Virginia

The usefulness of this post will depend entirely on what side of the Halloween equation you’re on.

If you like all the stuff about our spookiest holiday, then you’ll probably want to know what times the kids will be trick-or-treating around the state.  Whether you take the kids out from house to house, pass out the candy from your own home, or hide under a pile of leaves waiting to scare some teenagers, you’ll want to schedule it.

If not, you’ll at least know when not to be home

Here are trick-or-treating times we have gathered for the southern WV region – all trick-or-treating will be October 31st unless otherwise noted.  We will update the times as received.

Raleigh County

          *All Trick-or-Treating in Raleigh County will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

    • Beckley: 5 – 7 p.m.
    • Shady Spring: 5 – 7 p.m.
    • Beaver: 5 – 7 p.m.
    • Sophia: 5 – 7 p.m. – Trunk-or-Treat on Main Street, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
    • Pineville: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Oceana: 5:30 – 8 p.m.
    • Brenton: 6 – 8 p.m.

Fayette County

        *All Trick-or-Treating in Fayette County will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

    • Fayetteville: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Oak Hill: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Ansted: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Mount Hope: 5 – 7 p.m.
    • Hilltop: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Hico: 6 – 8 p.m.

Mercer County

    • All of Mercer County will celebrate Halloween on Monday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. #

Monroe County

    • Union: 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Oct. 31
    • Peterstown: 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Oct. 31

Greenbrier County

       * All Trick-or-Treating in Greenbrier County will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

    • Lewisburg: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • White Sulphur Springs: 6 – 8 p.m. – Trunk-or-Treat at Dick Gunnoe Memorial Park, 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Rainelle: 5 – 7 p.m.
    • Rupert: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Quinwood: 6 – 8 p.m. – Trunk-or-Treat at Crichton Elementary School, 5 – 7 p.m.
    • Clintonville: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Alderson: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Crawley: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Frankford: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Ronceverte: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Fairlea: Trick-or-Treating at hospital track, 6 – 8 p.m.

Summers County

  • Hinton: 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Oct. 31

McDowell County

       *All Trick-or-Treating in McDowell County will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

    • Welch: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Kimball: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • War: 5 – 8 p.m.
    • Iaeger: 6 – 9 p.m.
    • Coalwood: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Northfork: 6 – 8 p.m.

Wyoming County

    • Oceana: 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. Oct. 31
    • Pineville: 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Oct. 31

 Nicholas County

         *All Trick-or-Treating in Nicholas County will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

    • Summersville: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Richwood: 6 – 8 p.m. – Trunk-or-Treat’s at City Hall and Public Library, 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Craigsville: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Birch River: 6 – 8 p.m.
    • Fenwick: 6 – 8 p.m.
