Still, that’s not a lot of work, until you throw in a vengeful optometrist and his blind sister from Atlantic City, a drunken maid, and some missing diamonds in this madcap musical! Terror of the Tug Outdoor Drama @ McArts Amphitheatre
Jul 25 @ 8:00 pm – Aug 2 @ 10:15 pm

The drama “Terror of the Tug” by Jean Battlo will be performed July 25, 26, August 1 & 2 at 8pm. Bring a lawn chair and settle in under the stars for a WV History Lesson while being entertained.  The story is about the WV Mining Wars and the shooting of Matewan’s Sid Hatfield and Ed Chambers on the Welch Courthouse Steps on August 1, 1921 by the Baldwin-Felts agents.  There will also be a reenactment at the courthouse on Friday, August 1 at 10:30am.

2nd Annual Simply Jazz and Blues Festival!  Friday (starts at 5pm) will feature the Dennis McClung Blues Band, Heritage Blues Quartet and Bob Thompson Unit. Saturday (begins at noon)  brings us the talents of Holy Cow, Donnie V, MoJo Theory, Fruteland Jackson, Chaz Humley & The Effects, Austin “Walkin” Cane and Zac Harmon and Sunday (1pm) Chris Sutton, Gospel Reunion and Zac Harmon.  The winner of WV’s Finest will also perform.

The Greenbrier Excursions are one day trips which travel through the Majestic, 65-mile New River Gorge in West Virginia.
